BEST BUSINESS RENOVATION
MONTGOMERY ROW
Rhinebeck, Dutchess

Talk about transformations. Once a Chevy dealership, the just-opened Montgomery Row is now a shopping center filled with unique, locally owned businesses. Manager Piper Hartshorn, whose family has owned the building since 1927, renovated the onetime garage so visitors can now browse in shops like Hammertown Barn and Oblong Books and Music, or just settle down for a bite to eat at Gigi's Trattoria. "It's a good mix of businesses you might not find so far in the village of Rhinebeck," says Hartshorn. "It really invites people in." Invite yourself in to explore soon.
